During the fall of 2015, we provided a
Swordfish Camera and a month’s supply of Fujifilm FP100c instant peel-apart film to four photographers. In providing the means and material, we allowed these four photographers to continue on-going projects, experiment in the studio, and create entirely new bodies of work.
In addition to the photographs, we commissioned three essays on instant photography. These essays reflect upon, consider, and question the role of the instant print in regards to memory and nostalgia, as well as examine its place in the history of photography and popular culture.
